The Roving Troubadours – You can be a Troubadour!
Posted in Performances and tagged with First Friday, Progressive Galleries, Roving Troubadours on 11/02/2008 12:42 pmThe Roving Troubadours is my newest and most exciting ensemble. It began on the first Friday in October, when I had the opportunity to perform at Mantis and the Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center’s Satellite Gallery on the same night. I decided to invite Monica and Chelsea of Batida, along with many of our music loving friends to meet up at my place and parade to each of the galleries playing music and making an entrance. The spirit was high as we improvised chants in harmony, over drum beats and acoustic guitar. Wow! We received such a great response and had so much fun that I’ve decided to make The Roving Troubadours a First Friday tradition. This is only possible because of the vision and hard work of Jonas Hair of Progressive Galleries to coordinate local galleries for this monthly event.
You can be a Roving Troubadour! On November 7, bring your instrument and meet us at Arts 510 around 6pm. We will tour all 5 galleries making music along the way. See the flier, posted with my upcoming gigs, for more details.
